Proven Excellence in Product Engineering, Process Innovation, and Policy Transformation

A lifelong track record of integrating world-class technical expertise with national infrastructure development, demonstrated through pioneering software engineering and complex system automation:

  • Pioneering Simulation Research (1976–1979) | IIT Kanpur: Spent three consecutive years as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, executing advanced computer simulation projects that established a deep foundation in high-tier systems engineering.

  • Infrastructure Software Leadership (1980) | Canadian International Water & Energy Consultants: Served as the Technical Software Lead for the Power System Planning Group under the Canadian Water and Power Resources Development Project in Kathmandu. Spearheaded the computational and data models used to plan Nepal's critical water and energy resource distributions.

  • National Banking Automation (1981) | Nepal Rastra Bank: Initiated and engineered a historic, highly challenging core software automation project at the central bank of Nepal (Nepal Rastra Bank). Navigated severe operational friction, as clients and staff were entirely unfamiliar with computerized systems. Coordinated the hardware architecture deployment through Bhaju Ratna Engineering and Sales, successfully introducing modern data management to the country's financial sector.

  • Enterprise Utility Architecture (1991–Present) | Designco Nepal: Designed, developed, and deployed highly complex, custom software solutions for Nepal’s largest state utilities and corporate conglomerates—including Nepal Telecom (NTC), the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), the Nepal Water Supply Corporation (KUKL/NWSC), and Himal Cement. These major enterprise resource planning (ERP) and billing engines were built and maintained within an environment characterized by extreme resource scarcity, setting the benchmark for industrial-scale process innovation in Nepal.

I worked for three years in a research project at IIT Kanpur on simulation projects 1976 to 1979. In the year 1980 I led the software technical team in the power System Planning Group of Canadian Water and Power Resources development Project, Canadian International Water and Energy Consultants in Kathmandu Nepal.

In 1981 I initiated a software project at Nepal Rastra Bank. The hardware was supplied through Bhaju Ratna Engineering and sales. The work was very challenging as clients were not familiar with automation then.

Very complex new innovative software solutionsor scale organizations like Nepal Telecom, Nepal Electricity authority, Nepal Water supply Corporations Himal cement etc under a very scarce resources environment.
